Junior Committee (New)

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of MUIMUN in 2026, we are introducing a special Committee for younger delegates, offering minors their first opportunity in Münster to join a Model United Nations (MUN) conference. We carefully selected a suitable, beginner friendly committee for our junior delegates. We want to open the door to the worlds of debate and politics for our fellow juniors.

The chairs for the committee will be announced soon. The Secretariat carefully recruited them as they fulfill the key criteria required to introduce MUN to juniors in a fun and educational way.

Can I apply as a Junior?

Age

Suitable for juniors between 13 - 16 years old.

Guardians

Only accompanied by a legal guardian (parent) or faculty advisor (teacher). Legal guardians or advisors can observe the committee sessions in consultation with the Secretariat (time slots).

Language Level

English B1 is recommended, but no
no certificate required.

Leading global efforts to protect the planet and promote sustainable development, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) tackles urgent environmental challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and the sustainable use of natural resources.

The country matrix and the topic will be available
by the end of January.

The non-profit Münster MUN e. V. (German registered association) supports the MUIMUN project actively, especially with a staff (the volontarily working MUIMUN organization team) and ideally. Additionally, it also helps in funding the project.
